This was a fun salvage project! I got this large but well made wood crate in a local auction with a large lot of wood scrap pieces. I cleaned, sanded, and oiled the wood as well as reattached and reinforced the lid hinge. I added a top handle for easier lid lifting and painted "general store" lettering on the front in an antique stamp style. Lastly, I added furniture feet with cork bottoms for floor protection. This guy is now saved and headed off to auction!
